Coca-Cola becomes presenting partner of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Torch Relay
Worldwide Olympic Partner Coca-Cola, which has supported every Olympic Games since 1928, has announced that it will partner with the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Torch Relay through their Japan subsidiary. This agreement is designed to leverage Coca-Cola’s experience to help host an unforgettable and fun Olympic Games for spectators and athletes alike.
Starting with the Olympic Games Barcelona 1992, Coca-Cola has supported 13 Olympic Torch Relays, helping to recruit more than 16,000 torchbearers and activating on route for over 1100 days, refreshing and entertaining hundreds of millions of spectators and bringing the relay to life through exciting events.

And we have also been deeply involved in the Olympic Torch Relay since 1992. Today, we are extremely excited to announce that we have become the first Presenting Partner for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Torch Relay. The concept for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Torch Relay across Japan will be "Hope Lights Our Way", uniting the Japanese people around messages of supporting, accepting and encouraging one another, as well as showcasing solidarity with the regions still recovering from the 2011 earthquake and tsunami.
The Relay will commence on 26 March 2020 in Fukushima Prefecture and travel during 121 days to all 47 prefectures in Japan, showcasing the varied cultural and scenic attractions of each region.
