Intel brings 5G technology platforms to life with industry leaders for the world's largest 5G showcase, setting the stage for the global deployment of 5G. At PyeongChang 2018, Intel, KT and ecosystem collaborators will deliver a 5G showcase in Gangneung Olympic Park, in Gwanghwamoon, Seoul, and at other Olympic venues across South Korea.

VR, 3D and 360-degree content development

Intel True VR will offer the first live virtual reality broadcast of the Olympic Winter Games, bringing fans closer to the action than ever before.Together with Olympic Broadcast Services (OBS), Intel will capture a record 30 Olympic events, with both live and video-on-demand content available.

Through the Intel True VR experience, viewers will be able to tour the Olympic venues. Headset viewers will also be able to “fly” through the world of the Olympic Winter Games, giving the users a sense of the layout of the different locations of specific venues.

The virtual reality experience will be available on multiple devices and platforms in partnership with global Olympic Rights-Holding Broadcasters.
