Emblem Primary Version
The primary version of the **Gangwon 2024** emblem consists of the Games signature (Gangwon 2024) at the top "in black" and the full-colour Youth Olympic Games signature stamp at the bottom.
The Games signature developed for the Youth Olympic Games Gangwon 2024 is made up of the city name and the year of the Youth Olympic Games (Gangwon 2024) in black.
Emblem Secondary Version
The secondary version of the Gangwon 2024 emblem should be used on an exceptional basis; only in cases where the primary version of the emblem cannot be applied, mainly due to proportion reasons.
“Spirit of Gangwon 2024" Label*
The goal of the Youth Olympic Games Gangwon 2024 is to inspire the young people of the Republic of Korea.
The “Spirit of Gangwon 2024” programme is a means of expressing support for the Youth Olympic Games Gangwon 2024 and the Olympic values. It allows the Youth Olympic Games organisers to award a label to organisations, events and initiatives that seek to involve local young people and mobilise them around three themes:
- Sports development and the promotion of physical activity:
The “Spirit of Gangwon 2024” label is awarded to organisations, events and initiatives that aim to promote sports practice among young people in the Republic of Korea.
- Sport and education:
The “Spirit of Gangwon 2024” label is awarded to organisations, events and initiatives that use sport to develop the physical, emotional and social well-being of young people in the Republic of Korea.
- Sport and culture:
The “Spirit of Gangwon 2024” label is awarded to organisations, events and initiatives that use sport as a tool for expression among young people in the Republic of Korea through performance art (dance, music, theatre, circus performance and street art), the visual arts, reading, cinema, etc.
All organisations, events and existing or planned initiatives that meet the criteria for any of these three themes are eligible for the “Spirit of Gangwon 2024” label.
The use of the label is limited to a specific time period that will be communicated by the IOC, and the label can be used for non-commercial purposes only.
Slogan
Gangwon 2024 slogan is to express the pivotal ideas of the Games vision – growth, harmony and future - through message of hope for the future and spirit of the growing young people.
*The vision of the Games is “Gangwon2024 – youth celebrating peaceful coexistence and unity through sport to create a better future together.”
