**Charlie Woods** is hoping to follow in the footsteps of his father, [golf](https://olympics.com/en/sports/golf/) legend **Tiger Woods** when he competes in a **PGA Tour** pre-qualifier at Lost Lake Golf Club, Florida this week.

The teenager is bidding for a ticket to the **Cognizant Classic**, scheduled to take place from 29 February to 3 March.

To secure a spot in the PGA Tour event, Charlie Woods must first advance from the pre-qualifier to Monday’s qualifier.

Only four qualifiers will progress into the Cognizant Classic, according to [pgatour.com](https://www.pgatour.com/article/news/latest/2024/02/21/charlie-woods-to-compete-in-pre-qualifier-for-cognizant-classic-in-the-palm-beaches).

Tiger Woods and his son have competed together in the last four **PNC Championships**, where they finished in second place three years ago.
